You must use the metal lower intake gaskets with these heads, which is recommended for all 3100 engines regardless of application. These heads are designed for use with the Race/Boost 3100 lower intake.

If you are not using a Comp XFI lobed camshaft, the default springs are not necessary. Optional LS6 springs for .510" max lift cams, and Comp 26986 springs for nearly all non XFI lobe cams up to .640" lift are available.
